Top 5 Gun Movies

#5 - Gran Torino

Gran Torino is one of the movies that got me into guns. Though I wouldn’t really consider Gran Torino a “gun movie,” it features several iconic guns like the M1 Garand, M1911, Colt Python, MAC-10, and Uzi. That’s a power packed line up.

It also features the Remington 870, one of the best selling shotguns in history. But that’s a gun no movie could ever make me like.

#4 - Without Remorse

I know it doesn’t have a great storyline but Without Remorse is a great gun movie. And does anyone really watch a move like that for the storyline anyway?

Without Remorse features guns like the FN SCAR-L, Heckler & Koch MP7A1, and Barrett M95. Not to mention all the AKs. But what I love most about this movie is how well it depicts firearms tactics.

Unfortunately, the movie shows completely silent suppressors which is always annoying.

#3 - Django Unchained

Django Unchained is definitely more of an old gun movie. It features guns like the Derringer, Colt Dragoon, Sharps 1874 Buffalo, and Henry 1860. But that’s not what I love about this film.

Django Unchained is great because there’s just so much shooting. Not that it’s accurate to firearms. But the sheer quantity of shots fired makes this movie so great. And you would expect nothing less from a Tarantino film.

#2 - Die Hard

All the Die Hard movies are great gun movies, but the original was one of the movies which got me into guns.

I wouldn’t consider it an accurate gun movie by any means, but Die Hard features some iconic weapons like the Beretta 92, Walther PPK, and the Steyr AUG.

#1 - John Wick

Most movies do a terrible job depicting how guns and gun fighting actually work. But you can tell that the producers of John Wick put a ton of work into making the fight scenes realistic.

Not to mention the laundry list of guns featured in the original movie. John Wick shows iconic and futuristic guns alike. It includes the Beretta 92, Browning Hi Power, Colt Python, and MP5 and also features more modern and futuristic-looking guns like the Kel-Tec KSG shotgun and the FN SCAR-H.

Luckily John Wick is a film franchise so there’s plenty more to see. And plenty more to come. They’re expecting at least two more in the coming years.
